Question 1

What makes the Nectar mattress different?

Accepted Answer

Nectar offers more than a gel memory foam mattress at a fantastic price. We also provide peace of mind with our industry-leading 365 night risk-free sleep trial and Forever Warranty™. Plus, every Nectar mattress is shipped fast and free to your front door. And if it’s not a perfect fit, we'll refund your purchase and work with you to get the mattress donated or recycled.

Question 2

What is the 365 night sleep trial?

Accepted Answer

One of the incredible things about all of our mattresses is that each of them comes with a 365 day trial period, three times longer than most other trials in the industry. This means that you’ll have a full year from the day your mattress is delivered to see if the Nectar is right for you. We encourage you to take the first 30 days to get to know your new mattress, as it can take this long for your body to adjust to the support and comfort of the Nectar. Should you find it’s not a perfect fit, some photographic evidence may be required to process your return.

Question 3

Where are Nectar products manufactured?

Accepted Answer

In order to provide our customer's with their best night's sleep, Nectar has evaluated and selected the best possible materials from around the world. We have a diversified supply chain, and our products are sourced and manufactured in places such as Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Mexico and the USA with the utmost safety and sanitary measures in place.

Question 4

Do you offer financing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Nectar customers are able to finance their purchase via Affirm. Explore Financing options

Question 5

What is the Forever Warranty™?

Accepted Answer

Forever is a long, long time...and that’s how long we guarantee your Nectar. If in the unlikely chance you experience defects in construction, materials, or quality, Nectar will either replace or repair your Nectar mattress. If you own and sleep on a Nectar, we believe a Nectar should be the only mattress you’ll ever need.

Question 6

How does the Nectar mattress feel?

Accepted Answer

Nectar is designed with your comfort in mind, whether you sleep on your front, back, or side. On a firmness scale of 1 to 10, we designed Nectar to provide a medium-firm 6.5 feel. The mattress’ CertiPUR-US® Certified foams and breathable cooling cover work together to help keep you cool, evenly distribute your weight, and contour to your unique shape to help relieve pressure points.

Question 7

What set up do you recommend for the Nectar?

Accepted Answer

We’re sure that Nectar will be the most comfortable mattress you ever owned, if set up properly. We recommend any foundation, base, or adjustable frame that we sell or a similar product. We do not recommend placing your mattress on the floor, plastic base, or any home-made foundation.

Question 8

When can I expect to receive my Nectar?

Accepted Answer

Nectar ships to you by FedEx or UPS Ground. Standard delivery of your Nectar products take approximately 2-5 business days for arrival once they ship.

Question 9

How do I return my Nectar?

Accepted Answer

We think you're going to love your Nectar, but if you decide to return your mattress you can contact our Customer Support team at 1-888-425-4854. We will help coordinate the best option for returning your Nectar mattress, whether by repurposing it within the community or offering local recycling resources.

Question 10

Can I sleep on my Nectar mattress without the cover on it?

Accepted Answer

Under NO circumstances should the cover be removed from any Nectar mattress. Removing the cover will void all warranties. Keeping the cover intact will help protect the integrity of the mattress so that you may enjoy amazing sleep for years to come. We strongly advise the use of a stain and water-resistant mattress protector (such as the ones we have available for purchase on our site) which may be removed and laundered from time to time.

Question 11

Shouldn’t I try the Nectar mattress before I buy it?

Accepted Answer

Try Nectar where it matters: in your own home. We offer a risk-free, 365-Night sleep trial with every mattress, so you can sleep, snooze, and snuggle on a Nectar through all four seasons. We think it’s the best way to make sure your new mattress is your perfect match.

Question 12

What materials are used in the construction of the Nectar mattresses?

Accepted Answer

We formulated the Nectar Classic Mattress with 5 layers: a poly-blend cover that provides a cool-to-the-touch sensation to help keep you cool during the night; then, contouring memory foam that relieves pressure, dynamic support foam to promote spinal alignment, base layer foam to provide stability and minimize motion transfer, and finally a durable bottom cover to secure all of the layers tightly together. The Nectar mattress has been specifically designed to create the perfect balance of firm support and soft, cradling comfort. Additionally, all of the foams used in the Nectar mattress are CertiPUR-US® certified.

Question 13

Can the Nectar mattress be folded for transport?

Accepted Answer

Nectar is not designed to be refolded once expanded. To keep your mattress safe during transport, pick up a mattress moving bag at your local retailer or Amazon.

Question 14

Are the foams in the Nectar mattress CertiPUR-US® Certified?

Accepted Answer

All the foams we’ve used to create the Nectar Mattress meet CertiPUR-US® standards for content, emissions, and durability, and are analyzed by independent, accredited laboratories. Nectar’s foams are free of ozone depleters, TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates. Our foams have also shown low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality.

Question 15

Can I clean Nectar’s Cover?

Accepted Answer

For spills and light accidents, we recommend spot cleaning the cover as soon as the spill or stain occurs with a damp cloth and mild detergent or hand soap, taking care not to let liquid reach the underlying foam layers.

We don't advise removing the mattress cover as this will void the warranty and as the underlying foam layers may get damaged in the process. Keeping the cover on will help protect the integrity of the mattress so that you may enjoy amazing sleep for years to come.

We strongly recommend the use of a stain and water-resistant mattress protector (such as the ones we have available for purchase on our site), which may be removed and laundered from time to time.

Question 16

How firm is the Nectar mattress?

Accepted Answer

Nectar is medium firm and highly supportive. We’d rate the Nectar at a 6.5 on a 1-10 scale, if 1 is a feather pillow and 10 is a cement floor. Nectar is designed for perfect long term support with contouring, responsive comfort.

Question 17

How is edge support on the Nectar?

Accepted Answer

We designed Nectar for consistent and firm support edge to edge. If you're looking for extra edge support, consider a Nectar Hybrid.

Question 18

Will Nectar smell or “Off-Gas” when opened?

Accepted Answer

Nectar foams are of exceptional quality and off-gassing is usually limited or nonexistent. If there is any faint opening smell of fresh foam, this will dissipate quickly and is from new foams being vacuum packed and not from any chemicals.

Question 19

What if the mattress compresses and forms impressions?

Accepted Answer

In the unlikely event your mattress shows signs of compression or impression, no need to worry since Nectar’s Forever Warranty™ has you covered! If a verified impression of 1.5 inches or more is found on your Nectar mattress, we will either repair or replace your Nectar for free! If you experience this, simply reach out to our customer success team and they can help you through the warranty claim submission process. This Forever Warranty™ will last for as long as you’ve got your Nectar mattress, whether it’s 10 years or 100. We’ve got you!

Question 20

How thick should a mattress be?

Accepted Answer

A good mattress should be around 11 to 15 inches thick. Depending on the combination of foams, coils, latex, and covers, mattresses will vary in height. The thickness can affect how plush and supportive your mattress feels, and we here at Nectar have found that the ideal thickness for our mattress is 12 inches to achieve ideal comfort, softness, and support. We’ve used multiple layers of premium foams to build the most comfortable mattress imaginable. We found that a great mattress should be at least 11 inches thick, with luxury mattresses usually being around 15 inches.

Question 21

Can I use my Nectar mattress on any type of bed frame?

Accepted Answer

We recommend any foundation, base, or adjustable frame that we sell or a similar product. We do not recommend placing your mattress on the floor, plastic base, or any homemade foundation.

Question 22

Can I sleep on my mattress right away?

Accepted Answer

You'll see that your Nectar mattress will expand dramatically as soon as you remove it from its packaging. Sleeping on your mattress right away will not harm your mattress. Please note it can take up to 72 hours to fully expand.

Question 23

How long will it take the Nectar to expand?

Accepted Answer

Once you've unpacked your new Nectar mattress, please be aware that it may take between 24-72 hours to fully expand to its intended size. However, feel free to enjoy your new mattress as soon as you want this will not have any adverse effects on its performance.

Question 24

What is the warranty period for the Nectar mattresses?

Accepted Answer

Nectar has an industry-leading Forever Warranty™. If in the unlikely chance you experience defects in construction, materials, or quality, Nectar will either replace or repair your Nectar mattress. If you own and sleep on a Nectar, we believe a Nectar should be the only mattress you'll ever need.

Question 25

How does the hybrid design of Nectar's mattress compare to traditional memory foam or innerspring mattresses?

Accepted Answer

Our hybrid mattresses combine the supportive structure of innerspring coils with the contouring comfort of memory foam, offering a balance that appeals to a wide range of sleepers. The innerspring core of a hybrid mattress provides a firmer, responsive support base that enhances airflow, which can be particularly beneficial for those who sleep hot or require more support, such as back and stomach sleepers.

Memory foam mattresses excel in pressure relief and motion isolation, making them ideal for side sleepers and couples. They conform closely to the body, helping to reduce pain at pressure points.

Innerspring mattresses are known for their durability and firmness. Since they lack memory foam, they allow for more airflow and are often preferred by those who need firmer support.

Question 26

Are there any weight limits for the Nectar hybrid mattress?

Accepted Answer

Twin and Twin XL Hybrids hold up 500 pounds, while Full, Queen, King, Split King, and Cal King sizes hold up 1,000 pounds distributed evenly.

Question 27

How does the Nectar hybrid mattress support different sleeping positions?

Accepted Answer

The Nectar Hybrid is designed with your comfort in mind, whether you sleep on your front, back, or side. The mattress’ CertiPUR-US® Certified foams and breathable cooling cover work together to help keep you cool, evenly distribute your weight, and contour to your unique shape to help relieve pressure points and support fatigued muscles.

Question 28

Which mattress size is best?

Accepted Answer

The best mattress size is the one that's best for your unique needs. Take into account how big your bedroom is, how much walking distance you need around the bed, furniture in the room, and how much space you need when you sleep (i.e. do you sleep curled up like a baby, or like to stretch out?). Also keep in mind if you are single or share a bed with a partner and/or pet. While you need enough space, the most important consideration for your rest is sleeping on a comfortable and supportive mattress. Use our mattress dimensions guide to see which Nectar is right for you.

Question 29

What size bed do most couples have?

Accepted Answer

Most couples choose to have a King or California King sized bed based on preference for more space for each person. However, since space can be limited, the next most favorable bed size for couples is a Queen. Anything smaller than a Queen size is going to be a tight squeeze for two, and you will feel each other moving around at night. A King size Nectar memory foam mattress reduces motion transfer significantly and provides ample space, so you'll get a great night’s sleep even when sharing your bed with partners and/or pets.

Question 30

What size bed should I get for my room?

Accepted Answer

Use our mattress dimensions guide to see which Nectar is right for you.

Question 31

Is a Full sized bed big enough for two people?

Accepted Answer

A Full size (or double) bed is not typically comfortable for two people to sleep in. A Full sized bed is ideal for a child and a parent reading a bedtime story, or a person and their pet – but not two adults who need room to move around at night or have different sleeping positions. For two adults, a Full size only gives you 27\" of space each, which is likely not enough for most people to rest comfortably throughout the night.

Question 32

What is the biggest size of a bed?

Accepted Answer

That depends. If measuring by cubic feet, a King mattress is the largest bed that Nectar offers, at 42.2ft³. A California King mattress from Nectar comes in at 42ft³.

However, a King mattress is 80in(L) x 76\"(W) x 12\"(H) whereas a California King is 84in(L) x 72in(W) x 12in(H). The California King mattress is 4 inches narrower and four inches longer than a King mattress, so it depends on the shape and size of your room.

Question 33

Will two Twin beds placed next to each other be the same size as a King bed?

Accepted Answer

It's a popular myth however, two regular Twin beds do NOT equal a King bed. In fact, two Twin XL beds equal a King size and can be a good option for someone using two beds in a guest room that they can also push together if the need arises. Two regular Twin mattress are the same width as a King, but shorter in length by 5 inches.

Question 34

Can you put a Queen mattress on a Full frame?

Accepted Answer

No, you can not use a Queen mattress on a Full frame as it will not fit properly. A Queen is larger than a Full, so you'll need a Queen size frame for your Queen mattress. It’s best to always match up your mattress, frame, and sheet sizes for the most comfortable night’s rest.

Question 35

What size sheets should I buy for two Twin mattresses pushed together?

Accepted Answer

For two Twin beds pushed together, you are going to be hard pressed to find sheets that fit. A standard Twin bed is 38 inches wide and 75 inches long; a standard King bed is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. However, two Twin XL beds pushed together is about the same size as a King bed and you could get away with King size sheets.

Question 36

What is two Twin beds equal to?

Accepted Answer

A standard Twin bed is 38 inches wide and 75 inches long; a standard King bed is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. Therefore two Twin beds are not quite equal to a standard king bed. However, two Twin XL are equal to a King.

Question 37

How thick should a mattress be?

Accepted Answer

A good mattress should be 11 to 15 inches thick. Depending on the combination of foams, coils, latex, and covers, mattresses will vary in height. The thickness can affect how comfortable a mattress is, and Nectar has found that the ideal thickness for our mattress is 12 inches to achieve ideal comfort, softness, and support. We use multiple layers of premium contouring foams to build the most comfortable mattress. We found that a great mattress should be at least 11 inches thick, with luxury mattresses usually being 15 inches.

Question 38

How high should a bed be?

Accepted Answer

The average bed height is usually about 25 inches in total, including the frame, mattress, and any additional toppers or bedding. This is so your feet can reach the floor when you’re seated on the edge of the mattress. You can find a higher antique bed at about 36 inches off the floor, or a more contemporary modern platform bed which is lower at around 18 inches. While it is personal preference, you'll want to be able to get in and out of bed with ease.
